The opportunity:
Shopster.com is seeking an experienced User Interface Designer to join our Product Management team. We are looking for someone with strong user interface, usability, and graphic design skills to work on both our customer facing and internal applications.
Desired qualifications:
- Able to create user experience flows quickly and generate wireframe and interactive prototypes for review.
- Thorough understanding of user experience design for rich internet applications.
- Knowledge of web 2.0 design concepts and technologies (CSS, HTML, Javascript, Ajax, prototype, script.aculo.us, etc.) is essential.
- Know how and when to work with both software developers and web designers to create new or revise existing interfaces.
- Experience in conducting usability studies/analysis and documenting results.
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization.
- Work well in a team; respect and welcome ideas from partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts.
Education/experience:
- Post secondary education preferred
- 2-3 years of related work experience
- Design portfolio
