Makes Significant System Upgrades As Innovative Internet Storefront Solution Continues To Grow

Calgary Canada, February 27, 2007 — Shopster (www.shopster.com), the evolution of online retail, announced today that it has made significant upgrades to the company's application, which allows anyone to easily set up an online storefront. The primary upgrade to the Shopster system is the introduction of "Shopster Drop Ship Services", which easily allows Shopster store owners to market their inventory across numerous online auction sites such as eBay, Yahoo stores, Overstock and MSN Shopping. Because the more than 1,500 Shopster store owners are not reliant on physical inventory and only pay for the products that they sell, the new Drop Ship Services allows store owners to reach new consumers beyond their online domain and turn those consumers into loyalists on the individual store owner's Shopster site.

"In speaking with our retailers, one of the primary revenue opportunities for Shopster store owners is through online auction sites like eBay and Overstock," said Mr. Sarath Samarasekera. "While we have always incorporated dropshipping into the Shopster stores themselves, the new Shopster Drop Ship Services allows for ease of use in terms of automatically exporting your list of products to eBay for auctions, giving our stores owners significantly more monetization opportunities."

Beyond the Drop Ship Services, Shopster has added two other enhancements to its all in one e-Commerce solution:

  • Retailer Newsletters: Shopster store owners can now begin collecting email addresses through their store and send newsletter updates to customers and prospects through the Shopster system.
  • Store Parts: In order to give a unique look and feel to each of the e-Commerce stores across the Shopster network, the company has now instituted "Store Parts", a system that easily allows store owners to customize their shop with a few clicks of the mouse.
