CALGARY, AB – Calgary based Shopster eCommerce Inc. is taking great strides forward in the fight against internet fraud with new technology aimed at shutting down online thieves. The technology, titled "Shared Security System" scans consumer transactions occurring on all Shopster supported online stores, and looks for patterns that might indicate potential fraud.

The "Shared Security System (SSS)" scans information like IP addresses, shipping information, purchase frequency, and credit card details looking for patterns that fit known fraud parameters. If detected, the transaction is flagged, and all Shopster supported stores are notified. This allows for extremely early detection by following transactions on hundreds of Shopster affiliated web-stores, rather than just one at a time.

"Internet fraud is a challenge that Shopster takes very seriously, and with this technology we will protect both the online consumer, as well as retailers in the United States and Canada who own Shopster supported stores," states Sarath Samarasekera, Shopster CEO, "with this new technology we have developed in-house, we are creating a safer online environment for business."

Shopster e-Commerce Inc. is the most innovative company to enter the online retail space in the past 50 years. Shopster provides a platform which brings together suppliers and online retailers. This allows products to get to market faster and cheaper than ever before. By lowering the cost of doing business online, Shopster has enabled thousands of new web-entrepreneurs to begin retail operations by supporting them in opening their own unique online stores.
